Kingdom Minded

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.” Matthew 6:33

Our first value that will be highlighted is Kingdom Minded.

We believe that the Kingdom of God should be at the forefront of our minds above all things. This means that the art we display, even in a variety of forms, should align with the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22-23). When we create art, whether it is religious or not, we ask ourselves, “Is it loving, encouraging, and/or convicting?” Although we are performers and entertainers, we bear in mind that our goal is to please God and not other people. We seek to glorify God and not ourselves.

We also wanted to share certain stories that were a deciding factor in what values we chose. For “Kingdom Minded”, the stories center around the lives that God has impacted through different moments of our ministry. We are so thankful for the past experiences we have had that taught us the importance of full surrender to the Lord. When a team gives their all to the Kingdom, He accomplishes much.

Impactful Rehearsals

During the rehearsal period of “To the Church in Rome” in Idaho, we stayed with Isaiah’s grandmother. During this time, we met  an old friend of Isaiah’s grandma. She sat in on one of our rehearsals, and, despite the show being in its beginning stages, she left the rehearsal in tears and very moved. This lead to a very beautiful prayer time. In keeping our minds focused on the Lord, even during rehearsal, God used the art to reach someone.

Reaching the Neighbors

During the same rehearsal period, we were invited over to dinner by some of the neighbors. They have three kiddos, one of which was going through a very stressful medical situation. The night was full of fellowship, sharing testimonies, prayers, and playing with cute, little kids.

We wanted to share a little piece of our show with them. Only 3 days into rehearsal we performed a part of Romans 8 for them (the song in this show). It was so worshipful and just, overall, a beautiful moment.

We received a card from these neighbors after this tour expressing how blessed they were by that night and our team’s devotion to building God’s Kingdom. This helped lay the foundation for the God centered connections we now strive to make. These connections can only be made when our team is focused entirely on the Lord and His Kingdom.
