As circumstances and situations in our world change, shift, and affect plans, we are continuing to look towards the future with hope and excitement for what God is doing!
Egypt Team Takes on Queen City
As many of you have heard, we were originally planning a trip to Cairo, Egypt with Aletheia Christian College this year. Due to unforeseen conflicts, safety concerns, and scheduling – this trip has been canceled.
We did want to share some of the exciting things that transpired instead. Most of the Egypt Team came out to Charlotte for two weeks in January, where we fellowshipped, studied, and made the most of our time together as a team.
In a class we all took this past semester – Spiritual Transformations – we studied spiritual disciplines, the desert fathers, issues within the church, and the impact of religion on different cultures. Because we were unable to explore the wonders of Egypt, we took time to adventure into the many cultures that are right here in Charlotte. We visited a Coptic Church, the Billy Graham Library, a mosque, and a Jewish Synagogue. We met many people, learned a lot, and began discussions about how religion helps shape culture. Worldview, and psychology all play into society and a religious culture – Christianity or not.
Live Music
As most of you know, we have been doing Live Music – originally for fundraising for Cairo. Since November we have been performing acoustic covers around Charlotte, NC. We began with covers of some favorite Broadway tunes and have branched into other genres; jazz, 80’s favorites, and today’s hits.
We are excited to continue performing and to bring joy through music to the Charlotte, NC area. All funds will go towards furthering Living Pages endeavors – future trips, productions, etc. We have met so many wonderful people during this time and are thrilled to continue making connections and blessing people where we can. It has been a pleasure in each location we have performed at so far.

Dancing With Refugees
We are excited to announce that on May 7th we will be partnering with The Nest Academy to provide several dance workshops for children. The Nest Academy is a nonprofit that provides free education to refugees in Charlotte NC. We will be providing their high school and middle school students with a fun, insightful, and interactive dance workshop. We hope to foster a relationship with the academy so there may be future seminars including theatre and music. We will send out another update about the outcome of this terrific opportunity soon!
