Living Pages Mission & Vision
Building the Kingdom Through Dynamic Expression
Living Pages Theatre is a non-profit organization, bringing hope and inspiration to anyone who needs it. Through the vessels of theatre, music, dance, and other artistic displays, we aim to build the Kingdom above all else. The vision of Living Pages is to create a joyful network of performers, musicians, composers, and trail blazers who are passionate about impacting the world around them through the arts. LPT is to be a foundation and outlet for those who have a conviction in their heart to display the Word of God anywhere they are called.
“The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” Hebrews 4:12
Hebrews 4:12 is not the goal of our performing, it is the reason for it. The Word of God is already powerful and convicting (2 Timothy 3:16), this is why we intend to present it through any artistic means we can. We don’t add meaning to Scripture, we seek to display the life that’s already there.

Our Beliefs & Values
Kingdom Minded
We believe that the Kingdom of God should be at the forefront of our minds above all things. This means that the art we display, even in a variety of forms, should align with the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galatians 5:22-23). When we create art, whether it is religious or not, we ask ourselves, “Is it loving, encouraging, and/or convicting?” Although we are performers and entertainers, we bear in mind that our goal is to please God and not other people. We seek to glorify God and not ourselves.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.” Matthew 6:33
Service
Whatever venue or location we have the opportunity to perform in, we believe that our art is an act of service to our community. This mindset overflows into our everyday interactions with our audience, hosts, and team, considering each as more important than himself (Philippians 2:3). It is more important for our audience to feel loved than for them to be entertained. It is more important for our hosts to feel valued than for them to see a breathtaking show. It is more important for our team to feel treasured than for them to be professional performers. Wherever we go we seek to act like Jesus, being servants of all.
“For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Galatians 5:14
Excellence
God is worthy of our utmost worship, and we believe that this includes our work as artists. In theatre, music, dance, or art we aim for the highest excellence. We believe that the more professional and impactful we are, the more tools we lay in God’s hands to use. Additionally, we remember we have an Audience of One. No matter where we are, how small the crowd is, or how the situation plays out, we do our best because He is worthy of it.
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Community
We believe that our team dynamics and our interactions in the community should cultivate joyful and appreciative connections. Within the team, this looks like frequent check in’s, prayer times within supporting communities, compassion extended towards hardship, and appreciative gestures or words. We will prioritize time to appreciate one another with genuine love and reflection on each person’s individual value. In the community, we love to cultivate lasting collaborations with other teams, nonprofits, churches, and schools. We seek the same appreciation and compassion in these interactions. We believe we can learn from all people and can display love to all people.
“Bear one another’s burdens … for the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit”
Galatians 6:2,8
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God…” 1 John 4:7
Power of Art
We believe in God’s ability to use the arts. We have seen how God opens doors to people who were otherwise unreachable through performing. Art also provides a way to deeply encourage the tired or hopeless, and this fuels us as we travel from place to place. If God has given us a talent, a skill, or a vision, we have a responsibility to use those tools in the Kingdom. As we surrender what we have in our hands, no matter what it is, we expect God to move mightily.
“Now there are varieties of gifts but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
“Let us praise His name with dancing; let us sing praises to Him with tambourine and lyre.”
Psalm 149:3
“It was clear in each of you, that God has gifted you with the talent and creativity to share his gospel. Bringing your own unique take on your roles and your music and dancing, it was just so beautiful. Knowing how much you had to have poured your hearts and souls into bringing this to life was also breathtaking. I had many moments of goosebumps and tears, but mostly I left feeling hopeful.”
